A woman got arrested in Ohio after she broke into the house of a stranger. She not only petted the stranger’s dog but also washed the dishes. It was one strange incident, and ABC News reported it.
The Vinton Country Sheriff’s Office in a statement told the media that they received a call on Monday morning about a burglary attempt. The reported site of the offence was told to be the village of Hamden, which is around 80 miles south of Columbus. The police for the sake of ensuring the safety of the house owner dispatched teams for an initial response.
Deputies arrived at the home, and they interviewed the owner. They were told that a woman broke into the house through the back door. She sat down on the couch and began to pet the family dog. Later, she got up, washed the dishes and moved out. Sometime later she left.
The homeowner testified that he had never met that woman in his life. He also told the deputies that she was behaving quite oddly. When deputies were investigating the homeowner, the emergency response section of the police received another call about a woman similar to the one who broke the house earlier. The caller reported that a woman was knocking the doors of other residences in the area. The description of this new woman was matching with the one who broke into the house, earlier.
The woman was identified as Cheyenne Ewing. After arrest, she appeared to be under the influence of narcotics. She was investigated and ultimately taken to the Ohio Regional Jail in Nelsonville. She is being held on $10,000 bond. She also told the deputies that she had been up for straight two days.
