President Donald Trump is leading the news in America because of his recent tweets being regarded as targeted to the congresswomen of colour. He made those tweets to counter the Democratic congresswomen. Trump suggested the women coming from different countries where the governments were weak and a total catastrophe should go back.
According to the BBC, the tirade in the tweets was directed at four congresswomen of colour. Three were born and raised in the US while the fourth moved to the US as a child. Amidst the criticism, as human rights group along with left-wing leaders are opposing Trump for his tweet, the Republicans just remained silent.
The congresswomen Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Talib, Ayanna Pressley and Ilhan Omar have criticised Trump from time to time. Some of these congresswomen have criticised the pro-Israel policy of the Trump’s administration.
British Prime Minister, Theresa May also gave an ear to the tweet and after knowing its content, she said that the remarks made by the president were not fine. She called such remarks as completely unacceptable.
Trump didn’t name the congresswomen in his tweets instead he referenced them indirectly as he asked House Speaker to organise for them to leave the country. Around a week ago, the House Speaker entered into a confrontation with the squad of four women; however, following the Trump tweet she came to their defence.
The president wrote that those progressive democrat congresswomen, who originally come from the parts of the world where governments are not strong, now are willing to tell the most powerful nation on earth on how to run the government. He challenged them to correct the governments in the places from where they come and for that they can go back.
In the past, Trump has always used Twitter to send in bad and good news to the world. He is not afraid of losing his popularity and all he wants is to just convey the reality. Trump in his tweet had added, “These places need your help badly, you can’t leave fast enough. I’m sure that Nancy Pelosi would be very happy to quickly work out free travel arrangements!”
