Trump has a specialty, whether you hate or like him, he makes good on his promises. He made absurd promises on his campaign that no one thought were possible to keep. But one by one, he did or at least tried his best to do so. There are many examples like the ending the NAFTA, putting a travel ban in place and Tax reforms etc. His border wall is still pending but it seems to be coming true.
Trump did most of these things to please its base, the conservatives see him as a savior and a hero.
Last July, Trump announced an intention to ban on transgender from serving in the military. The tweet is as follows:
“After consultation with my Generals and military experts, please be advised that the United States Government will not accept or allow transgender individuals to serve in any capacity in the U.S. Military. Our military must be focused on decisive and overwhelming victory and cannot be burdened with the tremendous medical costs and disruption that transgender in the military would entail. Thank you
It seems like he is making good on that promise as well, last Friday a memo was released from the White House ‘disqualified from military service except under limited circumstances.’
According to the memo, the ban will take effect immediately despite being overruled by the federal court’s order. The court’s order will be implemented, as stated by the defence secretary.
The ruling of the court is based on the constitutional right that everyone must be treated equally.
The memo did not mention how the ban will be implemented. But the main reason for the ban is the huge medical cost that is required by the transgenders.
People are getting angry and they are taking their anger on social media. This issue will be raised in the huge march that is taking place this month.
