Trump: Even if there was collusion with Russia, ‘it’s not a crime’

Trump in an interview has recently denied any collusion with Russia for his 2016 election campaign however he further added that even if there was some collusion then it was not a crime. Such a statement came recently a few days back after a one-year rant of the most news outlets for blaming Trump colluding with Russia for his election campaign in order to be selected as the President of United States. Even the famous social media website Facebook was blamed for the use of advertisement by various people having their profiles created from the Russian origin in order to influence the American elections.

Trump says he never colluded with Russia for the election campaign, further added, “even if there was, it’s not a crime.”

In the interview, Trump praised the lawyer Alan Dershowitz who argued his stance that the Trump did not prove to be an obstruction to the Justice by firing the FBI director James Comey since Trump had all the rights to fire the head of the bureau. “I watched Alan Dershowitz the other day, he said, No. 1, there is no collusion, No. 2, collusion is not a crime, but even if it was a crime, there was no collusion,” told the Trump to NewYork times.

Trump also bashed the special counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into the matter of Trump and Russia. The guy believes that Trump had some connection with Russia. Trump said that beliefs and matter like these make the country look bad and such things must be readily discarded because these could hinder progress.

One of President Trump’s lawyers, Jay Sekulow, said earlier this month that it didn’t matter if members of the Trump campaign colluded with Russia because ‘there is no crime of collusion.’” – reported The Hill

For something to be a crime, there has to be a statute that you claim is being violated, – said Jay Sekulow to New Yorker in an interview.
