The top aides of the Trump scrambled to disavow the article in an attempt to avoid the blame for contributing in the article. Eight of the Trump’s close aides have disavowed the article. Vice President Mike Pence, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo and Defense Secretary James Mattis have so far disavowed the article. They hammered the author verbally for writing the article and The New York Times for publishing it.
Trump considered is as one more jab because of the simmering attitudes of the critics against the Trump’s administration. All this has started after the American establishment found the links of Russian hacker meddling the 2016 presidential election.
