Oprah Winfrey: “Politics Will Take My Life” – Hints Against Running for President

Written by Logical Men

Oprah Winfrey had been featured on the cover of the British Vogue, and in the magazine, she has told whether or not she would ever consider making a run for highest office in the country after becoming sort of a dream candidate for Democrats earlier this year.

In that political structure — all the non-truths, the bulls**t, the crap, the nastiness, the backhanded backroom stuff that goes on — I feel like I could not exist,‘ she said. ‘I would not be able to do it. It’s not a clean business. It would kill me.’ The media mogul appears on the cover of the magazine’s August release, dressed in a white, off-the-shoulder, custom-made taffeta Stella McCartney beautiful gown.

In the past she has answered the much happening speculations about her potential run for the White House. In her interviews she always appear to be reluctant towards the idea to run for the oval office. ‘I pay attention, and when you have that many people saying something, I thought gee, I never in my life, ever, ever, thought I would be in politics. I’ve always said no no no no no,‘ she said at the time. ‘Am I at least supposed to look a that question?

She told how rich people called her to give her billions in campaign funds. She said that she prayed to God to give her a clear sign to run. Her speech at the Gold Globes 2018 was so inspirational and after speech many took it to Twitter to suggest that she should run for the office. One Twitter user went as far as claiming that her speech at the Globes was her first campaign speech.

After telling Vogue about how she came to her decision, Oprah also discussed on feminism in response to the rise of the Times Up movement, noting that she has opted to focus on the positives that have come from it.
