North Korea boldly demands USA to remove its Secretary of State Mike Pompeo from talks-panel

Written by Logical Men

North Korea has re-asserted its dislike for the American Secretary of State. North Korea wants him to be removed from the negotiations panel. The second rounds of talks between Trump and North Korean leader Kim-Jong Un had failed in the past. According to the news sources, another round of talks is expected.

A senior foreign ministry official from North Korea has said that the inclusion of Mike Pompeo in the talks would make the entire process lousy. The Foreign Office asked that the Mike Pompeo be replaced by someone more careful. This backlash came amidst the successful North Korean experiment of the tactical missiles. North Korean leader didn’t enter into some solid agreement with USA to end the weapon race.

Mr. Pompeo had visited North Korea four times last year. He even had a meeting with the North Korean leader. It appears that he was unable to create a strong image of himself in the North Korean establishment. Mr. Pompeo had made four visits to North Korea in the last year. All of these visits were made in attempts to reach an agreement with North Korea for ending its weapon-race.

There are reasons why such a demand has risen in the North Korean quarters. During a US Senate subcommittee hearing Mr. Pompeo was asked if he would agree with Kim’s description as a tyrant. Mike Pompeo replied in positive agreeing with Kim’s description as tyrant. North Korean quarters also blamed Pompeo of ending the Hanoi summit without any concrete result.

Even in the case of possible resumption of dialogue with the US, I wish our dialogue counterpart would not be Pompeo but… [another] person who is more careful and mature in communicating with us. (reported Korean Central News Agency while sharing the stance of the North Korean Foreign office)
