A woman was arrested this Friday after she was witnessed at Humboldt County beach, biting, choking and striking her child in an attempt of exorcism. The child, 11-year-old, was saved by the passersby who called police after watching the mother go insane.
The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office received an emergency call where he was reported about the incident of a mother choking and biting her child at the Centerville Beach near Ferndale. The people who were there at the time of incident got terrified. It was reported on the call to the Sheriff that the mother was putting sand into the eyes and mouth of the child. The child was kept naked and an exorcism practice was being carried out.
The mother was identified as Kimberly Felder. She is 41 years old.
A local resident saw the mother attacking her own child and he tried to step in to save the child. He started struggling with the lady as she tried to hit the child in the head with a piece of driftwood. The police arrived in no time after the incident was reported and Felder was arrested on the spot for doing such horrible things with a kid.
The child was admitted to the hospital. The ears had endured serious damage due to the brutality of the mother. Felder was kept in Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of attempted homocide, assault with a deadly weapon and felony child abuse. The guy who stepped in while the mother was trying to kill her baby has been applauded by the police for his bravery and quick action. It’s being said that the guy who saved the kid from the mother is requested to be nominated for Red Cross Life Saving Award.
