There is one more character which is yet to be seen on the big screen of Marvel Cinematic Universe, Ms Marvel, and the thing that is unique about the character is that she is a 16-year-old Pakistani-American Muslim.
It seems like it is the time for diversity, which is evident by the massive success of the Black Panther.
Kevin Feige, President of Marvel Studios and produces, has confirmed that the story writers are already working on the introduction of Ms Marvel to the Marvel Universe.
The latest Avengers movie from the franchise is declared to be a massive hit on the box office and there are even predictions it will be the biggest grosser ever for movies that were released in summer. Ant-Man And The Wasp will be released after Avengers: Infinity War.
After which Captain Marvel will be released and in it the new character will be introduced, which won’t come as a surprise because Ms Marvel is thought to be the natural byproduct of the film.
In the previous storyline narrated in the comics, Carol Danvers AKA Ms Marvel takes the role Captain Marvel after the character is killed.
The role is taken by the Actress named Larson, however, the new incarnation of the character is 16-years-old Pakistani-American girl named Kamala Khan who lives in New Jersey.
The superpower of the character comes from her super strength. The indie comic of the character was first released in 2014 which made headlines for the including the first Muslim character.
It also won the 2015 Hugo Award for Best Graphic Story.
The movie ‘Captain Marvel’ will be released in spring of 2019. Sadly, it was postponed twice due to Spiderman: Homecoming and Ant-Man And The Wasp.
However, it is still unclear if Ms Marvel will appear in the Captain Marvel or not. Despite confirming her introduction is on the cards soon, he said: ‘Ms Marvel… the Muslim hero who is inspired by Captain Marvel, is definitely sort of in the works. We have plans for that once we’ve introduced Captain Marvel to the world.’
