Legal experts accuse Trump of witness tampering using social media

Written by Logical Men

Trump has something for the social media. In the past he has taken major decision and publicised them through the Twitter. Welcome to the new era of Twitter diplomacy. Trump even gives foreign policy commitments on the Twitter.  This gets strange because many people don’t like this social media diplomacy. Tweets are often criticised as not following the proper scrutiny from the concerned departments.

When people are often asked about Trump’s administration, they kind of seem to be satisfied but they demand one thing that Mr. Trump should leave the habit of tweeting diplomacy. Trump in the past had used Twitter to address the concerns of the North Korea. Belligerent tweets were made in response to the intransigent approach of the North Korea. Trump has quoted numerous countries at different times on his Twitter timeline. This makes Trump unusually different president. He is outdoing anything which was done by the previous Obama tenure, thus to make himself the best.

On Monday a string of tweets were made on the social media which received the ire of the legal experts. Many experts claimed that those set of tweets were actually quite close to witness tempering. Well, basically they accused the President of America of committing witness tempering. This particular crime is punishable upto an extent of 20 years. Now there is this one thing about social media, it does carry away people with whims.

Trump after returning from G20 summit, did something which he had to do. He blamed Michael Cohen of fabricating all the stories to take away the attention of Mueller probe from his own sins. Trump then turned towards another central character in the Mueller probe. Roger Stone, the guy who seemed to have some connected to WikiLeaks 2016. This WikiLeaks plan was about leaking Hilary Clinton emails which were obtained by Russian operatives, illegaly.

Regarding this Trump tweeted, “I will never testify against Trump, This statement was recently made by Roger Stone, essentially stating that he will not be forced by a rogue and out of control prosecutor to make up lies and stories about ‘President Trump.’ Nice to know that some people still have ‘guts!’

Legal experts were quick to realise that this was tantamount to witness tempering. Written tempering and obstruction to justice are both prohibited.
