The car which professional driver and TV host Jessi Combs crashed was jet powered. She was attempting to break her own land-speed record. The crash happened on Tuesday at around 4pm on a dry be lake in Alvord Desert in Oregon. She was pursuing a land speed record. Combs is often dubbed as the fastest woman on four wheels.
Combs was driving the same North American Eagle Supersonic Speed Challenger, which she used in her previous attempts. Back in 2016, she did manage to hit 483mph but due to mechanical problems the attempt ended prematurely.
According to the family of the Jessi Combs, she had been chasing her dreams since 2012. Back in the days, she always wanted to become the fastest woman on the face of the earth. Guess what, she died chasing her own dreams, obviously she would be proud of her endeavours. Combs’ family gave a statement to Daily Mail, as follows.
Combs was one of the rare dreamers with the bravery to turn those possibilities into reality and she left this earth driving faster than any other woman in history.
Days before her accident, Combs had shared her motivation to break 512mph barrier. Later, after the accident, her partner Terry confirmed the details of her saddening demise. He wrote that he did everything to save the brilliant and courageous lady. He praised Combs for being a perfect and ideal lady.
I have never loved or been loved by anyone as much as this amazing woman she was truly my unicorn and I enjoyed every single minute that I had with her.
