Elon Musk is known for his ambitious plans. He has shown that a right kind of ambition can change anyone’s life for good. SpaceX is a revolutionary company operated by Elon Musk. The company recently unveiled am ambitious plan to launch internet satellites – planning to bring on an internet revolution.

Each satellite has the size of an office table. Initially, SpaceX has decided to launch 60 satellites in a bid to test the feasibility. The internet network which these satellites would support is named as Starlink. Previously, the launch was scheduled to take place on Wednesday; until later it was delayed. The launch would be reinitiated within a week. During this time, SpaceX would be updating the software of the satellites.

Once the project would enter its final stage it is going to feature 12,000 satellites. This number is more than six times the number of all the operational spacecraft in the orbit. SpaceX aims to finish the project before 2027. It would mean an earth covered with low cost satellite internet, available for everyone. The project cost would be $10 billion and after completion it is going to give a tough competition to the internet providers around the globe. Elon Musk knows that pulling off such an ambitious project would be a hard thing. Recently he claimed a smaller success rate for the satellites keeping in view the high frequency of the technology used. He believes some satellites would not work.

Exports anticipate that the project would change the lives of every individual on the earth. It is going to revolutionise the way people around the globe access internet. Information would be readily available on the finger tips. Starlink aims to solve two issues common to internet service providers, a lack of affordable internet and latency between distant locations. If these two specific problems are solved, it would help Starlink dominate the ISPs.
