This Monday Donald Trump did something very different in a cabinet meeting. The media is giving coverage to that part with whole zeal and zest and is also questioning Trump’s agenda. During the first half of the meeting, Trump proclaimed himself as one of the most successful presidents in U.S. history for taking quick decisions in his first 143 days of presidency.
Never has there been a president….with few exceptions…who’s passed more legislation, who’s done more things than I have.
We all know that Trump has signed various orders and the most famous of them was the ‘Travel Ban Order’ which was blocked by court previous days. What Trump hasn’t done so far is to pass an actual reform through Congress. The health care and tax reforms haven’t moved an inch.
However, the weirdest second half of the meeting is yet to come. After self-praising his actions Trump then turned to several cabinet secretaries who started to praise Trump for his agenda. At first it seemed that merely a small number of secretaries would praise Trump but instead, Trump gave everyone a fair chance to speak good words in his praise. Trump was listening to the comments full of praise without any response except a mere broad smile on his face.
White House Chief of Staff, Reince Priebus, said,
We thank you for the opportunity and blessing to serve your agenda.
Everyone was trying to take a leap on the other while describing Trump’s success in sweet words. It looked like Trump being a central figure while others seated to give their names and say some words in regards of Trump’s greatness. Well, everyone in the cabinet so far has learned that the best thing to talk about Trump is the Donald Trump himself. Flattery in the cabinet can help members get themselves in good books of Trump.
Chuck Schumer was quick enough to create a mockery of Trump in this savage video and post it on Twitter.
GREAT meeting today with the best staff in the history of the world!!! pic.twitter.com/ocE1xhEAac
