Police in Alaska defend their right to sexual contact with sex workers before arresting them

Police in Alaska has backed up their right to have sexual contact with sex workers before getting them under arrest and putting them in the jail. Just so you know, prostitution is illegal in Alaska and also in 48 other states in America.

The debate is over a bill that would make it illegal for the police officers to engage in any kind of sexual activity before putting working girls under arrest. It’ll not allow any officer, prior to arresting a working girl, to get into any form of sexual contact. If Alaska approves of this bill then it will be the very first type of the law to restrict police officers.

Two months ago, Michigan also passed similar law unanimously which made it illegal for the police officers to engage with under investigation working girls. The Advocates of Alaska’s house bill 73 and Senate Bill 112 say that the police getting into sexual contact with the working girls is like exploiting them and also not caring for the humanity. It’s some sort of human violation.

The official statement has been made, ‘Such conduct is an abuse of authority and in some instances amounts to rape and/or entrapment.”

Terra Burns one of the founding members of CUSP says, “It’s incredibly traumatic to be tricked into having sex with someone who stops in the middle and puts you in handcuffs and takes you against your will to be locked up in a jail cell.”

Well, we are quite confused over the fact that why it was legal for the cops to have a lustful arrest at the first place? We understand that some situations might have this planned but what if the cops are misusing this grant to take a joy ride?

Police often don’t understand that the criminals committing such crimes are often the victim of the society. Suppose, a working girl gets arrested but on the other hand only she knows that one day she had been kidnapped as a child and was forced into such a destiny. Now, it’s the police duty to find out more about her, rather than exploiting her again to give her a symbol of hate.
