Feminist who rants about state to back up birth control & other stuff gets a shut up call

Written by Wamiq Ali

This feminist gets a shut up call right after declaring women of not wanting to be a sacred entity. Talking about human rights is a good thing and trying to bring women on an equal platform as with men is also in the similar category of fighting for human rights but once you escalate things more taking them beyond their limits then that is something not acceptable. Famous TV writer Liz Meriwether decides to share her opinion on Twitter regarding the woman and feminism and all of a sudden she starts getting shut up calls.

So in her own opinion, she completed the modern woman desires in one 140 character statement. The tweet was actually made in response to a speech of John Kelly who gave it regarding Military Service members. So, Kelly made the speech which was focused on both men and women in the military. He said,”You know, when I was a kid growing up, a lot of things were sacred in our country. Women were sacred, looked upon with great honor. That’s obviously not the case anymore as we see from recent cases.

I am not trying to criticize the writer but it is how the Internet tried to treat her as they said that women have no problem in being a sacred entity. The others on Twitter also agreed to her workplace safety for women but they didn’t agree with her other opinions. People on Twitter accused her of thinking herself being entitled to everything around.

The topic is indeed sensitive in nature but it’s at the same time quite simple. There are a lot of things which we can’t do like women or men. Both have a different identity and roles, this must be understood. The problem starts when we stop trying to understand each other when we start giving stupid orders and statements without logic. The beauty lies in understanding the weaknesses and strengths of each other and then trying to assert the right notion in order to gain the correct goal.
