An actress sent ricin tainted letter to Ex-President Obama. She has been arrested and sentenced for 18 years.

Shannon Guess Richardson, 36-year-old, was also ordered to pay $367,000 as a fine for possessing, carrying and using a biological agent as a weapon. She had bought the ingredients online to create an effective biological weapon. The actress was arrested by FBI in mid-2013 and she gave birth in the next month while being caught up in the jail.

The actress had mailed three letter in May 2013 which were ricin tainted while she lived in New Boston. After mailing the letters she drove to the nearby police station where she implicated her husband who had filed for the divorce. In a statement she gave to FBI she told that she knew that the letters wouldn’t get past the security.

The letter was written to intimidate Obama, it said, “What’s inside this letter is nothing as compared to what I’ve got in store. You’ll have to kill me and my family before you get my guns. Anyone wants to come to my house will get shot in the face.”

This actress a former Dallas Beauty Queen had her roles in The Vampire Diaries, The Walking Dead, Franklin and Bash, All My Children and The Blind Side. The actress, Shanon Richardson, apologised before getting sentenced by the U.S. department of the justice.

In a statement after getting arrested, she said, “I never intended to hurt anyone, I am not a bad person. I don’t have it in me to hurt anyone. I love my country and I respect my president.”

Analysts say that Richardson actions put a lot of important officials into danger. She practised the highest form of threat to the president using a biological weapon. She said that she didn’t want to hurt anyone but definitely her actions give clues otherwise.
